Event Management is the second best paid profession in Spain, it does not require a university degree but it does require a professional qualification. The average income is 2,000 euros per month and can even earn more than 100,000 euros per year depending on the sector in which you work. Obviously, the income will depend largely on the number and magnitude of events to be managed. This requires budgeting skills, management and coordination skills, contacts with companies and service professionals, and a good communication team.
Tourism companies frequently organize all kinds of events, fairs, congresses and similar, with private clients and public authorities, in which they must use protocol, public relations and customer service techniques.
A professional organization of these events has a clear impact on the image and prestige of the organizing tourism company and provides a plus of quality.
Advice and intermediation in the services that each client needs to have a good tourist experience is also part of the work of the tourism professional.
This is a sector in full expansion, which has led to the existence of a two-year Official Degree that is very attractive for companies due to its practical, innovative profile and its great operational capacity. Dual and international itineraries
The Iriarte undergraduate student is guaranteed to be able to choose to study some semesters, or complete academic years, in one of the more than 75 Erasmus destinations offered by Iriarte throughout Europe with a European scholarship of approximately 1.000 euros per month and guaranteed academic validation.
There is also an Erasmus Internship program with a grant of a similar amount. The combination of internships and Erasmus stays allows, at the student's choice, to opt for different itineraries combining four semesters of teaching at Iriarte and at different European universities.

At Iriarte you will be immersed in an international environment with Erasmus students from countries with which we have international mobility exchange agreements. We include annual B1, B2 and C1 certification courses for all our Degree, Double Degree, Second Degree and European Master students, which you will also be able to use to carry out the different international mobilities.

Do as many internships as you can starting from the first year. As an Iriarte student you will be able to do between 12 and 18 months of national and international paid internships.
