María Milagros Armas Arráez holds a PhD in Psychology from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca (UPSA) and a PhD in Education from the Universidad de La Laguna (ULL). She has a degree in Psychology from the UPSA and a degree in Early Childhood Education Teacher from the UNIR. She has completed several Masters, Specialists, Experts and Postgraduate courses.

 

After completing, in 1997, the Teacher Training Course, she began to give workshops and courses for families, teachers, state bodies and labor staff. She also teaches courses for companies and public institutions in the area of Human Resources. She joined the University Teaching Staff in 2019 at the International University of La Rioja and continues as Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education in the Department of Educational Psychology and Psychobiology, as a teacher of several subjects and has led the direction of TFM in various Masters of the UNIR. Since 1997 she has been involved in research in collaboration with UPSA, ULL, UVIGO, UAM and CETYS.

 

Her main activity has been professional since 1998 as: Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Neuropsychologist, Psycho-oncologist, Family/Couple Therapist and Sexologist in private practice and at Santa Cruz Hospital (Vithas); Forensic Psychologist attached to the Courts in the Canary Islands through the DGRAJ adjudicators; Educational Psychologist and director in the multidisciplinary centers LOPEPSI Health in Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote, as well as in the Multilingual Children’s Education Center Minicole in Arrecife; Emergency Psychologist and Mortuary for different companies and insurance companies, acting in numerous claims; Family, Business and Community Mediator for the Mediation Centers OMEPEL and Family Mediator for the Government of the Canary Islands.

• Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, Psychopediatrician, Psychogeriatrician, Neuropsychologist, Psycho-oncologist, Family/Couple Therapist and Sexologist in Private Practice and in the Hospital Santa Cruz (Vithas). Member of the Division of Health Psychology of the General Council of Psychology in Spain.

• Forensic Psychologist, since 1998, assigned to the Courts of all the Canary Islands.

• Crisis, Emergency/Emergency and Thanatology Psychologist

• Family, Business and Community Psychologist for the OMEPEL Mediation Centers and since 2013 as Family Mediator for the Government of the Canary Islands.

• In 2019 she joined the teaching staff of the International University of La Rioja in the Faculty of Education in the Department of Educational Psychology and Psychobiology as Associate Professor.
