D. cum laude and Master in Regional Development, Training and Employment, Degree in Sociology from the University of La Laguna and Expert in Human Resources Management from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. She is currently a professor of Applied Economics at the University of La Laguna and of Financial Economics and Accounting at Iriarte Cetro Universitario.

Her lines of research focus on employment, training, gender, entrepreneurship and regional development. She is a member of the Research Group “Tourism, competitiveness and sustainability” and collaborates in the Chair of Social and Cooperative Economy (CESCO) at the University of La Laguna.
